@Divesh Janaab aapko pora haq hai poochne ka :) To start with how I got inspired.. this was while returning from Irchel campus, which looks so beautiful in autumn. It was raining quite heavily and was quite dreary..however all the differently colored leaves on the path (all shades of brown, yellow and esp. red)made the whole street lively. I used a contrast here to say that even though the leaves were dead they lit up my day :-) Actually till that day, Autumn had only subconsciously registered itself in my mind.
A beautiful poem indeed! The pattern is perfect.. first a short description of the view, and then your thought about it put in the least number of words! Wow!
(Yeah, really, brevity Is something. I enjoy decreasing the number of words when I write. Sometimes I bring 20 lines down to 4! :D)
Waise, Divesh ke spoiler alert pe gaur farmaana chahiye tha aapko. A poem doesn't just remain what the writer writes it about, it's a million poems. I think interpretation is a creative exercise! Aapki poem ko interpret karne ki koshish mein kya pata Divesh aur mujhe koi nayi poem soojh jaati! :):D
@Divesh So your interpretation was close..good to know :-)
@Vikram Thanks :) Divesh had a lot of time to think :P, ..but on a prior occasion too he had wanted to know the idea behind this poem. In all probability he wanted the author's interpretation. I should have put a spoiler alert though for the other readers :-) and am sure there isn't any dearth of topics for you guys to ponder and write about :-)

this sounds awesome.. but I am not sure if I understand it fully
How are the auburn leaves "vivifying"??
I am sorry if I spoil the poem by asking this. .. you can choose to not answer the question in that case

aha .. so then I wasn't too far off in understanding :) .. thanks for the explanation.
and it is brilliant, indeed... it takes a while though for the sequence of events and the interpretation to "register" :D
